Blinker and brake problem

My blinkers started acting up then went out. Soon after my break lights stopped working. so after checking the bulbs and fuses I changed the multipurpose (blinker) switch out with a switch off of another truck(same mmodel) that I saw work the day before. Now I have brake lights but when I engage the blinker all that stays on is the running lights. Reverse lights works also
Any suggestions ?

I just posted a very similar question. Did you figure out what was wrong?

Thanks for responding. I have a 2006 FX4 with the 5.4. Here's what I posted in a new thread.

New here. Long time reader/researcher, first time poster.

I have been having major issues with brake lights not working when headlights are on and also when the blinker is on. I have changed all lights except headlights, blinker relay, brake pedal switch, and multi function switch (the actual blinker handle), based on info gathered here. No luck. Was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions, as I'm spent.

Thanks
-PJ

Please avoid posting in multiple threads, it just confuses things.

See your other thread.
