I have a 1999 Ford F150 with the trailer tow package. Years ago I had a Ford van that had the trailer tow package that included a 7 pin plug, but it also had a 4 pin plug.

My truck has the 7 pin plug but I cannot seem to find a 4 pin plug. Does anyone know if it should have one and if so it's location?

Just get a 7-4 adapter and be done with it.

 

The connector for the 4 pin is back above the spare tire. Follow the 7 pin harness back and you will find it.
