Angry hanging in power window

I was just wandering if anyone else has had this problem. The problem is in the passenger side window. The window will come down, but about half way down, it sort of drags a little, gets real slow and then comes down. I took it to the dealer and they spayed something in it and it worked good for awhile, but its starting to do it again. This is very aggravating because the truck is a 01 and is only 2 months old. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have a solution for you but I have a similar problem. The only difference is that mine is the drivers side and it makes a popping noise when going up and down along with the drag that you are experiencing. I'm taking it to my dealer next week and I will let you know what they find.

Unhappy same problem here

fordman, I too have a 01' and my passenger window does the exact same thing. I tried the silicon spray lubricant myself, did wonders for the front and back door hinges on my house, but nothing substantial for the window. I'm going to take it back to the dealer shortly. My passenger window seems to pull towards the rear of the truck when lowering. This could be a result or a cause of the binding. That could be the window loose at the regulator, the regulator misaligned....something wrong.

Popping noise on the driver's side window sounds like a spool or cable problem in the regulator. Get it under warranty.

My old 97 SuperCab had a window that drug.
I took it to the dealership and they sprayed silicone lubricant in the felt track and told me if it ever happened again to do that.
My SuperCrew's back left window started sqeaking and rolling
down slowly. I sprayed some silicone lubricant in it and it goes much quicker and quietly now. I went around and sprayed all 4 of the felt window tracks today before washing my truck. A little preventitive maintenance never hurts...

Popping Window!!!

Took mine in for the same thing - front passenger window. Going up or down - pop pop pop and slowwwwwww!! They installed two regulators and a new window motor before it stopped. Lasted about six weeks and now it is doing it again, so back to the dealer I go!!!
