Power seat and mirrows

Hello Good folks. I have a 2004 Lariat with power seat mirrors and pedal memory
The # 3 fuse keeps blowing out. I redid the orange and green wire splice on the Passengers side although it looked good. It worked ok with the mirrows but aftwer playing with the seat the 5 amp fuse blew again. I don't have a meter and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on what to try next. Thank you

Thanks but I've done all that already. I can make it work till I start testing the seat. It seems to be when I lower it. I'm thinking a short somewhere. I pulled the seat out and checked all the wiring but no signs of chafing. I also cleaned and relubed the worm gears ect. As long as I don't max a down setting I am ok but would like to fix it. I went for the orange wire first. It looked clean and no signs of water intrusion.

Meters are cheap, you should have one anyway!

if the seat being lowered is moving the wiring, I would check the wiring. (glc, nice meter for $8)

I'll pick that glc up. Thanks. I found a dime stuck in the track and I'll bet it was jamming it up. removed it and all is well so far. Thank you everyone for the input
