2011 F150 no crank
2011 F150 no crank
I was driving my truck and it went into limp mode at a stop light, pulled off and shut the truck off to reset Which has happened before except this time truck won't crank everything else works except the starter. Long story short replaced starter checked all fuses/relays still no crank. Have not scanned for codes yet. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!
check the battery???? So the "service engine soon" did not come on???? That light should come on before limp mode hits. Hell it should have been blinking.
Also check the solenoid for starter,,,,, if not on starter.

did you actually check it or is it a seems fine??? Check batt with a meter 12v or better on meter. make sure all connections on battery are tight. check all the ground spots in engine bay. see any corrosion on cables????
There is no other reason for engine not to turn over,,, now starting is another thing.
Fuel is there,,, spark is,,,,, and air is there it should start. If your missing one spark and fuel,, air cant go missing,, other two can. It should start. Now turning over is the battery and starter is their main function. If you replaced starter then it should start.
If it wont start or turn over you have problem bigger then a starter or battery.
good luck

That's what I'm having an issue with its like there is something in between that is preventing the starter from turning I will have to put a meter on the battery but I believe it's not the issue. Thanks for your input!

I'm at about 125k. I'm going to try all I can to get her going again but if not, to Ford she will go lol thanks!
When I have a problem like this, I start at the starter and work back toward the switch. I would first run a wire from the small wire connection on the solenoid on top of the starter(attach it securely) to the positive battery post. Just touch the wire to the positive battery post or cable end and the engine should crank over. It would be simpler to just get a remote starter switch and hook one connector to each of the electrical connections on said solenoid. If it won't crank over then you know the area you have to work on.
If it cranks over there, keep working backwards. Next I think you have a firewall mounted relay. Run a wire from the positive battery post to both sides(one at a time of course) of that relay and see what happens. You get the idea.
