Gem Module, ACC Wires. etc..

I am preparing to install a remote start alarm combo and have run into a few things I did not expect. The vendor sent me some wiring diagrams from wiremagic. There are some notes at the bottom for 98 f 150's.

- the first concerns the GEM module and states that some remote start installs cause intermintent problems with the windshield wipers. Anybody encounter this?

- The second note says that three accessory wires must be energized instead of just one. They are saying you have to energized the Grey/Yellow, Red/Black, and Blue/Pink. I was under the assumption I would only have to hook up to the grey/yellow.

- The guide also says that the tach wire is on the drivers side coil on the 4.6 and at the PCM on the 5.4. I was under the assumption that the tach was at the PCM on a 4.6?

The truck is a 98 4.6l F-150 w/o factory keyless entry (Reverse Polarity).

Anybody with input/experience/help would be appreciated!!!!
