I have a 97 Xlt the wipers all work fine until you put the truck in drive or rev then the delay stops high and low speed and washer still works they start working if you put it in 4x4 the mfs and the gem module and all fuses and relays have been replaced need help

 

Check all your grounds, including the ones behind the left and right kick panels, and the ones on the radiator support and the fender wells under the hood.

the 4x4 thing got me wondering. I got checking the transfer case found the lock out switch bad ( switch between the front drive shafts and the trans input ) I geese it was not grounding right and back feeding three the gem module and caused it to go bad but replaced it and it all works find now
