Temperature read out issue

The read out in my dash on my 2004 F150 is generally off by 10 degrees (in reference to the exterior temperature), any thoughts on where to start with fixing this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ryan.

Any of the three. Start up it just says whatever then it comes down to the temp usually minus 10 or so. This morning on the way to work I'd say it was 70 75 dash read out 62 then as the day progressed and got hotter same story. Truly just an annoyance but it would be nice to fix it up. If it's an easy fix.

Thanks for the reply

Ryan.

The temp sensor should be behind the grill. You can try putting a different one on it. I'd try and find a friend and borrow one off their truck for testing before you spend money on a new one
