Power Rear Sliding Window
Power Rear Sliding Window
I've read about his accessory in several other threads, but I wanted to ask the question definitively if anyone has the answer. Can the Ford OEM part be installed aftermarket with the same switch as the foot pedals and right next to it? I know the part price is around $420 from Ford, but beyond that I wonder....anyone?
I have been wondering the same thing. I hope someone answers with some pics. Also is the price you have for everything for a vehicle with NO slider now. I didnt order mine with the slider because it was so long of a reach.
ALSO...how much was your power tailgate lock and how easy was it to install? Do you keep the factory handle?

Scoob,
That price for the OEM factory power rear sliding window is whether your truck came with a slider or not. The opening is still the same, the only other cost will be running the wiring to the proper position and having the switch installed.
As for the Pop Lock power tailgate lock, it was $69 installed. I didn't do it myself because I just didn't want that headache right now, so I let a truck shop do it. The shop said the installation is rather easy and running the wiring to tire into the existing power locks was a snap. Factory handle remains. Only way to power lock the bed is with the switch in the cab for central locking of power locks or your key fob remote. It was truly a great investment and with the Pace Edwards roll top cover that locks, its perfect.
Anymore questions, please ask....always glad to help what little I can.

The power slider does fit the factory opening like Thefoyboy said. All parts needed for install come in the kit. The motor assembly fits behind the rear panel.
