90 f150 stalls when i jiggle the steering or turn please help

90 f150 stalls when i jiggle the steering or turn please help

my truck stalls when i turn or hit a good bump not all the time but most of the time. i havent had to deal with a problem like this before an dont really know where to start other then to try an take apart the steering column, which i dont know much about. Any ideas an suggestions would be awesome!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like could be a prob with the ignition switch or the plug at the base of the steering column which all the thick wires from the ignition switch pass through.Sometimes the thick yellow wire which is the battery feed for the switch can overheat and get a bad connection.See if you can pull it apart and inspect.Look for any signs of the plastic getting hot around the pins.Jiggle it to see if the car cuts out.If so gotta fix the connection.I think you can access the plug without pulling any covers from the column.
If its not that you may have to remove the covers around the column to inspect the ignition switch and see if jiggling that causes the car to cut out.......
