My odometer lighting is no longer functioning, although the odometer, itself, is working fine. The lighting worked, intermittently, for a brief period, but has now stopped functioning, altogether. Is this the "solder-joint-issue?" How difficult is the repair?

If you are in the group that your Ford service writer told you they had to replace the whole cluster, don't feel alone, a lot of members got the same info from the know nothings at the dealer.
