Vehicle Speed Sensor

I have a 1997 F-150. I bought a new vehicle speed sensor, but I also need the plastic gear that is attached to the end of the speed sensor. The old one is worn out, and most likely causing my problem. I need to know if the gear has a name, and where to look for it at. The dealership couldn't help me, they don't know if a new sensor comes with it or not. The one I got from O'Reillys didn't. HELP please!!!

You wouldn't happen to know off the top of your head how many teeth that sensor has? I don't have access to my truck right now because I am out of town.

Depends on tire size and axle ratio. That's how you have to order it.
