Sears diehard platinum battery
Just went to see what kind of warranty a die hard gold was. Only gave a 3 year full replacement with no prorate, a few other places have a 3 or 4 year full replacement plus a few years prorate. Going to stop at Ford tomorrow to see what they can give me.
I'd go something you can have easy access too. Yeah you can get great amazing super dooper batteries but why spend stupid money? I almost went the Sears HD but then thought about it. Over 200 for a damn battery? They all fail. By that time it's under warranty or I'd have money for a new one.
The current truck will probably get a DieHard Gold when the factory battery dies a few days after the warranty ends
I found that NAPA was the only place that still offered a prorated warranty besides the Ford dealer.
On Tuesday afternoon I drove down to a local dealer and bought two new Motorcraft batteries, one for the 'Stang and one for the 'Turd. They have three year full replacement warranties plus 100 month prorated. My cost with sales tax was about $130 out the door for each after exchange.

You got a better deal than I got. I went with carquest 880cca mainly because i can use my bosses discount which saved me 20 or 30 bucks.. I figured they can't be that bad they are made by east-Penn (deka) so hopefully it stays good..
The battery I took out was a year and a half old duralast 540 cca.

Well, the old battery in the 'Stang was a Jul 04 "NASCAR"-branded unit while the on for the 'Turd was actually the original factory battery out of our 07 Mariner (I'd swapped batteries between vehicles last fall).
I figure I got pretty good life out of both of them.
