Power locks, locking but not unlocking

Hello all this my first post here. So I bought a new to me, well maintained 97 F150 XLT xcab sb everything operates as it should but the door locks. If I hit locks they lock properly (not sluggish or weak) but hit the unlock and nothing happens no hesitation or weak signs of moving. So it took the door panels apart and disassembled the lock switches apart to inspect them, and "hot wired" the actuators and they function properly lock and unlock. so I put everything back together, and HOTWIRED the pigtail that goes into the switch, and got them to unlock. could it be the switches, it has been my experience with a faulty switch that the system fails completely I.e. no power locking at all.

I appreciate any and all advice

In case any one was wondering, I fixed my lock issue, there were some wires grounding in the end of the harness where it plugs into the cab.
