My parents have and econoline 150, we use it for our business, it has a cooling unit on the top of the van in the cargoish area. it has been missing for a while, we replaced the distributor, plugs wires and the usual, we have even had it down to a shop to have it put on the scope, but they say that there is nothing showing up. Does anybody have any info that might be helpful, anything will most likely be a huge help since we are lost and don't know were to look for help. thanks.

Do a compression test to make sure there is nothing mechanical wrong. EGR systems cause the most problems.
