My wife wants to get me a remote starter for my truck as a Christmas present and I'm not sure if to go the install route or get one myself.

However, last year I did some research on installations and remember finding out the advertised prices are never what is what customers paid due to vehicle where the install is happening.

Any advice? Will this work for me? Or should I purchase and install one?
