Comfort blinkers?

Hey there,

Anyone ever think about adding comfort blinkers to their trucks? All my recent rental cars have had blinkers where u just touch the blinker up or down for a second and it blinks three times then stops. Very cool and convenient.

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen a way to add this to our trucks?

They are standard equipment on the newer trucks now.

Not sure if you could retrofit them on the older trucks

That would be cool if I could retrofit them! I'll have to see if I can find part numbers.

Hi.

Doubt it - this is likely programming in the integrated SJB / lighting controller in the new trucks.

As an add-on to older trucks, I can think of a few ways to do this - from 555's to Arduino. Or an aftermarket module - haven't looked.

EDIT: looked briefly - have 'em fer Euro models and Doodge am (?) -- http://www.pekatronic.de/index.php?l...html&cPath=17& - so perhaps they are available fer yer truck as an commercial aftermarket device add-on ... (much more fun to build one though, lol)

Your turn to look - yer the feller whut wants 'em
