Battery group size, bigger ok?

Truck originally had a 540cca group 59. I put in my vin on the ford motorcraft site and it showed a group 65. I bought a motorcraft 750cca group 65 and it was definitely longer. But it fit and the oem battery cover also fit over it. Truck starts fine and battery gauge is normal. Will I have any problems with this larger group size?

Went with motorcraft cause my original 540cca battery was still starting fine and that's after six years. 2008 with a oct 2007 build date.

Not sure why I went with a larger cca battery, but it was only $119 and since I gave them my old one, no core charge.

Yes, if it fit and the hookups were correct, no problem. Bigger is better.

Just what i wanted to hear! While I never had an issue starting with my 540cca in sub zero temps, the extra 260 cca can't hurt haha.

I actually meant group size, as in the demensions of the battery being larger but still fitting in the truck, not the cca. But that's good to know too since I did up the cca, thanks!

My understanding was it had more to do with dimension as the cca is listed on every battery size.

Though, you maybe be right. My last battery had the part number bxt-59 and was 540cca. The new one is bxt-65-750. Both have the same width and hight, but the 65-750 is an inch or so longer. All I know is it worked, and my truck cranks in very cold temps like it's not even cold out. The new battery and the added cca add a huge difference.
