Hooking up Powerwindow controller..possible?

Hey guys...

I own a XL 2004 and I got a set of NICE XLT side mirrors. My XL has no power anything..lol!! so I was just looking at installing the side mirrors tomorrow and noticed the plug is right there...is there anyone that hooked up an aftermarket switch? or is it even worth it?

I just want to change out my side mirrors...

Lemme know

Thanks

You would have to check that there is power at the connector before trying to install the factory switch.

Chances are the harness is just in the door and not in the rubber boot from the door to the a-pillar, but you will need to confirm this.

The next issue would be trying to find a place to mount the factory switch. the arm rest area on the door panel is made for the switch to snap into, not a cut open and stick in item.

If you go with an aftermarket power mirror switch, you would need to know the diagram for the switch, and wire it to what you have.
