I have a 1998 F150 XLT and was wondering if I could pick up a rear view mirror with auto dimming, and a compass at a salvage yard , if it would be a huge project. I've searched and can't really find a clear answer. Thanks for any input!

Newer body F-truck, but same idea. The most "difficult" part will be running wiring up into the headliner and to the A-pillar and down towards the fuse box for power, I imagine.

Right off the bat, with a Google search for that mirror model, I found some write-ups on how to do the install.
