Exclamation f150 power window issues

A few days ago I opened my passenger window all the down on my 1999 f150 4.6 v8 supercab an it just got stuck once it was all the way down. I checked all the fuses, under the dash an under the hood. I also tried one of my buddies switches and still nothing. I then removed the window motor an hooked it up to at 12v battery an the motor seemed to work fine in both direction. My driver side window works completely fine. Once I plugged the motor back in the door its does absolutely nothing. Someone please help me I'm new to this site an looking for all the help I can get cause I'm currently at a stand still.

Does it react the same way with the passenger side door switch & the drivers side master switch?

Could be the door switch is bad - doubt it,or the GEM module could be bad.I just bypassed the GEM for my drivers window problem, with good results.I posted the schematic on this sites photos, but it's hard to see - pm me your email, and I can email you a better pic of the schematic.

That sounds like either the window or the mechanism between the motor and the window is jammed. I would take a large screwdriver or similar and carefully so as not to break the glass pry upward to release the bind.

I removed the motor completely so it was free from the gears left it plugged in to the power an still.
Got nothin... Tested the switch seemed fine, tested the motor plug for the power also seemed fine. Don't kno what else to do.... Thinking about running a hot lead to a 3 way toggle switch an hooking up the window motor to it. (Motor works fine when unistalled it an ran + to one wire an - to the other from a spare battery I had laying around)

Was the motor grounded when you tried this?

Also, did your lights dim down like they always did when you did that?

If I read this correctly :
1. Motor does not work when plugged in.
2. The switch tested good
3. There is + VDC & ground and reverse polarity to the motor connector when the motor is unplugged.
4. Motor works correctly when uninstalled and connected to a different power source.

if these are true, I would say you have a mechanical issue with the window itself, causing the motor to go lock rotor; but on to the questions.

Tested the switch seemed fine
What does this mean ?
Either the switched tested good or it did not, nothing subjective about it.
how did you test the switch ?

tested the motor plug for the power also seemed fine.
Same question as above, what does this mean ?
Either the power window motor connector had + VDC and ground on the pins when pressing the down part on the switch, and the polarity reversed when pressing the up side of the switch. It is a yes or no answer to testing for power.

Motor works fine when unistalled it an ran + to one wire an - to the other from a spare battery
Does the motor go in both directions when you hooked it to a different power source ?
Did you try reinstalling the motor in the door, and using the different power source to run it installed in the door ?

I sent you the diagram I found, but it looks like you may have a 12vdc power problem which is light blue w/blk stripe feeding both the driver window switch and drivers and pass. door window switches, or you lost one of the grounds at the drivers door window switch or chasis ground. The pass. window motor controls 12vdc wire only goes through the acc.delay relay and not the GEM module according to the wire diagram I sent you.

did you try to power the window only at the plug on the door ?Ya know, unplug the window motor plug, install a ground on one wire, and apply 12vdc on the other wire - if it does nothing, then reverse the wires - if you did this, did the window go up/down ?

Turned out being a faultly wire with a rip in it, I ended up taking everything out an finally traced it to the wire under by the dash. After I took the regulator out for nothing, might I add what a pain in the *** that was.... For should be slapped for that set up. Hopefully tomorrow ill get to put it all back together an be set to go
