Battery cables and all that are GTG...come on Pat...you've seen my vehicles!

No noteable/trackable frequency or repetitive item that we have been able to pick up on. That's the worst part. I'm also extreeeemly hesitant to take it to a shop/dealer because of this. I figure during the months inbetween occurernces when it doesn't happen, they'd be chasing a ghost and unable to find something. Would mostly want to throw parts (and my money) at it hoping to get it right.

I still think it could be a sticky switch, under hood, courtsey, trunk, glove box. IDK. Maybe one that has a mecury switch and when it is parked a certian way it makes the light (un-noticed) turn on. Maybe pull the fuses that controll these items if it doesn't interupt the function of something that is needed.

But I always get nailed with the weird break downs so I look for the weird stuff.

Hope you find it.

I know, I know, just figured it was worth mentioning. When you're totally stuck on diagnosis, you can always start over and go back to square one.

Yah I want to avoid that at all costs. Chasing ghosts at work (Land Rover) isnt fun. It just pisses off the techs and customers both.

A quick snippit from SS006-07

The discontinued Special Service Tool (SST) Automatic Trickle Charger (SST P/N 00002-YA122-01) maintained a manual charging limit of 10A to accomplish a safe recharge rate for AGM batteries. This low amp charge was low enough to prevent the AGM battery from overheating and venting since the charger had no way of monitoring battery temperature/condition.

Has anyone found the answer to the charging system failure? I have replaced my altenator, starter and battery. I can start it, but as it runs you see the gagues go down, showing the charge leaving, even replaced some fuses, but still battery light is on, and when started, drains the battery? Please if you know the answer, tell me.
