alternator bearings

I would think you could do it with a punch and a light touch on the hammer without too much difficulty... the tough part of getting one back together is getting the brushes back in... there's a hole in the casing to slide a paper-clip through that will hold the brushes in their retainers intil the case is back together. Once it's back together, remove the paper clip and the brushes pop out, and viola!
Oh, and make sure you remove the pulley first... it's tough to do once it's all apart... I only replaced the bearings a couple times... usually all I had to do was "re-clock" the case so the plug was at the right angle.
If you have any more questions, e-mail me.
Good Luck!
