ashtray/cupholder light

Ok i fixed my spring bracket on the ashtray/cupholder behind today.


Now the big question does anybody have any idea what trips the light to come on??????

Truck is 2002 f 150 k.r.

I believe its always on with the interior illumination. I could be wrong tho....

OK ill buy that!! Going with the idea your right is there a fuse for it??? Or is it put with one fuse that covers bunch of stuff and this particular item isnt listed on it.

its probably lumped into all the illumination circuit....



I just confirmed this on my service DVD, no switch shown. power comes from fuse F2.18 5amp fuse. (all though it calls it "ash tray" light)

If your other interior illumination is working, i bet you just have a blown bulb....

I replaced the bulb. it only comes on when you turn on the lights(headlights).

Its not easy to replace that bulb. Ended up busting the bulb,, then had to pull it out by the fillament,,, not fun!!!!!!!!!!!
