2006 ford f150 passanger side power window switch,
My power window switch won't go up. When I take the switch apart and put the up down mechisism on it, it will go up and down. But then put it back in the door it will go down but to up. I see the connectors and I coated them with dieodie electric grease with no results. Can someone give me proper instructions on what to do to the connectors to get it to work correctly. File it, bend it,??? Not sure which is best fix,

If you coated the switch contacts with dielectric grease, you insulated them.

What do you mean by

 

mine did the same thing in my 05.. 20$ replacement.

 

i should have read the sentence to myself. I should have said,
when i take the switch apart and click the exterior control mechisim Up/Down button.
I can take the switch apart, and plug it back into the wiring harness and test it. it will work fine. if I watch the window up and window down contacts connect they are fine. it seems that there is a small amount of rust or corossion on the tip of the up part of the switch preventing it from making a good connection. i took one of my wifes finger nail files and sanded it and it worked fine for about three days. then stopped

 

Ouch if you sanded the contacts, could be the end of the switch.
Those only have a coating on them, and it is very thin.

If you clean off the dielectric grease and take a close look, you might find you are looking at white plastic now, and a little bit of coating. That would lead me to a SWAG of not enough circuit surface area to operate the windows.
