I'm installing a vacuum gauge in a 2000 F150 2WD regular cab with a V6 and a manual trans. where's the best spot to pass the vacuum line through the firewall? I'd like to know where I'm going before i start pulling the carpet up.
PS gauge is going on the A Pillar left of the driver below the handle.
thanks for your time!

My 2001 SuperCrew had a rubber flap on the firewall, just below the brake master cylinder ( brake booster ?? ).
If you pull the carpet back where it ends on the firewall, you should see it to the left ( driver's side ) of where the steering wheel shaft goes through the firewall.
Cannot say for 100% if your cab type is the same, but this is a good starting point to check.
I used it for a few things.
Just be sure to leave a loop that hangs lower than the flap, so any water ( driving in the rain ) follows the vacuum line down, and it drips off vs. running into the cab of the truck.
