Odyssey Battery
Odyssey Battery
Are these worth the price? Seem like a lot of money for an AGM battery. Is there anything out there just as good, but costs less?
This is the biggest one of the 2004 5.4 - 3V

Either that, or the Sears DieHard Platinum. Yeah, they will cost you, but a battery is the one thing (besides tires) one does not want to skimp on, if they want to drive the safest possible vehicle.
I am in the market for a new battery, and looked at the Diehard Platinum & gold versions and the Exide AGM that Manual150 got.
I would not say that getting a Diehard Gold ( or equivalent ) battery is skimping. It comes down to usage.
I don't have enough draw on the system to trash "normal" batteries like Manual does, so I think I am opting for the Gold.
I guess it comes down to how much do you abuse the battery in the truck.
If you go AGM, make sure your charger is AGM compatible. I only have 1 that is ( got it when I was thinking Odyssey battery in my ZG, but getting 8 years out of the factory Yuasa I decided not to ).
