Keyless Entry System?

I have a 1999 F150 XLT 4x4. Just purchased it 1 month ago (From a dealer). It came with 1 key and no keyless entry remotes. I cannot enter the programming cycle using the ignition key so I have to assume the truck is not equipped that way.
To add this feature is it a matter of simply purchasing the under dash module? I'll bet not but I thought I would ask.
~Thanks!

Sorry I can't answer your question regarding OEM Ford equipment for you but... assuming worst case (that is your truck is not equipped to just plug in a FoMoCo unit) you should be able to have a keyless entry system installed for about $120.00-$150.00 (less if you install yourself).

It will probably have more features and better performance too!

I'm NOT knocking the Ford factory unit, but since you are buying a used truck I would go with a so-called aftermarket system.

Thumbs up

Thanks for your reply!
Kinda thought that might be the case.
I installed a Bulldog Security keyless/remote start in my old 94' Dodge Ram. Looks like I will be doing that again!
