Rear door lock doesn't work.

I have a 2005 Supercrew. The problem I seem to be having is the rear passenger door lock will not work with the button on the door or with the key fob. Just wondering what this may be. I have read it may need a new actutor. Does that sound right?

You need to take apart the door, and apply power directly to the actuator to verify if it is dead or not.

Power one way will lock the door, reverse the polarity and it will unlock.

Better than R&R of electrical parts, the source might not take back
- Napa does not. I think Autozone does, but that in itself is a good reason not to purchase electrical items from Autozone.
