Door Ajar issue

Left rear door ajar light is staying on and the door is closed. I have a 2009 Supercab. I even pulled off the negative battery cable to see if it would reset and no luck. Does anyone know the fix? Thanks in advance!

The door trigger in the truck is a -NC circuit. Could be a cut door trigger wire or a bad trigger switch.

FYI: Your door trigger wire is green/purple and is located in the driver kick or SJB, gray 26 pin plug (C), pin 14

Great info. Thank you! What is SJB? I did some car audio install today. Only thing I cut was the speaker wires. Nothing was touched near the driver kick panel but I did pull off the long rocker panel. May have pinched the wire snapping it back in. I'll take a look.

SJB (Smart Junction Box) is in the passenger kick.

The switch for the door is embedded in the lower latch assembly. It will be the only thing plugged into the latch on the rear sc doors. A half turn and pull removes them. Assuming you did nothing to the wiring, the switch is an easy and cheap change out. You could even unplug and run a jumper wire in the connector to test before buying a new switch.

I found the problem. I accidentally cut the wire under the rocker panel. I was running some speaker wire under there and as I was cutting the electrical tape from the factory to bury the wire, I must have cut it then. Im a dumb ***! lol
Problem is fixed. Thank goodness it was only a cut wire. Free repairs are the best kind!
