In-dash wiring harnesses

I'm a little bit curious about something I saw on my truck the other day. I pulled the dash trim piece off on my truck to check out a few things for a project I'm working on and noticed that there were two small wire harnesses, with plugs, attached to the same black trim piece that the cigarette lighter is mounted into. My guess is that they are for the Reverse Sensors and DSC, which I don't believe that I have on my truck since there are no buttons mounted that correspond to these functions. Does anyone know if it's just that Ford runs a generic harness and then outfits the necessary switches based upon the specific options/equipment ordered & installed on the truck?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

At the ford plant, they will run the wiring harnesses for the "extra options" throughout the truck but if you didnt get the option, the harness go into a blank connector. Saves them money doing it this way
