Intermittent starting problems/electrical/ fuse number 15

Hi all, 2001 Ford F150 4x4 5.4L

I'm having an intermittent starting problem with my truck. I originally thought it was the starter solenoid so I replace it. Then I realized the dome light, 4x4hi/lo switch doesn't work and the windows don't roll up or down.

I checked all the fuses and noticed number 15 was blown. Its a 5 amp fuse. I replaced only to have it blow intermittently. This fuse controls the Stop lamp switch, (Speed Control, Brake shift interlock), GEM Module, RABS module.

Does anyone have an idea what I should chase down in order to find the problem? My worst fears are I have a short somewhere but there are several systems that are connected to this one fuse. I'm hoping there is a none problem.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions in advance.

SScully,

Luck would have it that I found that thread right after I posted this.

My biggest concern about this whole issue is the dealership says that none of those problems should be happening because of this recall. They said that its just a jumper to the master cylinder to solve this problem. The blowing of the fuse shouldnt have anything to do with it. I'm just concerned it wont fix it.

I finally found time away from xmas vacation to tow my truck to the dealership to find out what they think. I had to tow it because my intermittent starting problem became permanent.
