Fogs on with ignition?

My 2010 STX has the usual fog light configuration: The fogs work IF the ignition is on AND the headlight selector is either in the Park or Headlight position AND the high beams are not on. What I want is for the fogs to come on with the ignition and stay on no matter what the headlight switch or high beams are doing. Is this doable with the new Smart Junction Box?

Probably. If you can find a wiring diagram for the fog lights on your truck, I can say for sure.

Search for bambi mod in the 2009 - 2012 forum, there is a thread with 2 different methods. It is not as easy as the 04-08 MY mod, but I woudl say less involved in the 97-03 MY mod.

Once you get to the 2 posts, it degrades back into members telling other members not to do it; it is hacking up your wiring; against the law; blinds oncoming drivers; etc, the typical anything to try to talk someone out of doing the bambi mod on their truck

Thanks but that isn't what I want. I want the fogs to come on with the ignition, independent of the fog switch. On my '06, I just moved a wire from one relay to another, but the 2009-up trucks have a "Smart Junction" box that's smarter than I am. How do I take the fogs off the fog light switch and put them on the ignition switch?

Sorry I misunderstood what you are were after.

Same thing applies, if you did this on your 2006, the diagram above can be slightly modified, that should not be an issue for you.

The external relay, ground the relay terminal #86 instead of running it to the switch.
The Add-a-fuse in the fog lamp position only wire to terminal # 30.

Terminal #85 wire to an add-a-fuse that is hot in the position you want ( hot in run, hot in run / assy, etc ).

That would do it. Not too sure what wire you moved on the fog lamp relay on the 04-08 MY, and what relay you moved it to, but the ability to move the wire on the relay is not there with the SJB, but the external relay would do the trick.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot.
