Question 2007 F150 Supercrew

I have a 2007 F150, this morning my remote to unlock the doors would not work, I also noticed that the daylight savings lights did not come on( it was dark out when I started the truck), the lock button on the inside would not work, and the radio did not turn off when the door opened anyone have any suggestions on what would cause this. I did change the batter in the remote. Still would not work.

I would look at the batter in the truck, low battery voltage and bad batteries make very weird things happen on the new trucks. My 06 F350 had two bad batteries and I was cruising down the highway at 65mph and the speedometer showed I was doing 25mph and the tach was showing that the truck was running at 200rpm

3. things.

1st, dsq3973 already suggested, check the battery not only for standing voltage but also cranking and recovery.
- Low / sulfated battery makes a 04+ MY truck act very weird.

2. Check for a bad splice in the driver's side door sill ( as long as it is a SCrew or Std cab, Scab does not seem to have this issue )
https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...door-open.html

3. Loose or bad ground on the VSM behind the rear seat back for SCab & Screw / rear trim panel for Std cab.
- This can cause all sorts of symptoms with what you are talking about, as the module that controls door open indicators ( with the RKE factory installed ) and autolamp to name a few are functions controlled by the VSM ( Vehicle Security Module ). If you are searching threads, this was called the BSM ( Body Security Module ) for the 04-05 MYs.
- Thread in the technical articles / How To forum, on how to get the seat back out to get to it.

Figured the power window & Accessory wiring finally paid off, and you are helping others

BTW : Your threads still hold the 3rd & 4th highest post count in a thread in the electrical forum, the stickies are the only ones with higher post counts..
