Ive been on google and looked on xpresskit.com.. You would be amazed how many people write opposite things or theres different modules...Maybe someone on this forum has installed it and could give a quick easy answer? Maybe I Dont have time to to look through 60 pages of google when Im trying to do it for my dad when hes on vacation for a week. Thought this was a website were you could get help expecially if your not electrical smart... Thanks for your useless post...

Sounds like he is referring to the 'PATs' bypass system. Its the unit that will sense the presence of the ign. key with the proper code chip. The one for Fords system is "Securilock Interface Kit" Part # 8L3Z-19G365-BA, about $45-$50. The unit installs around the Ign switch and plugs into the control unit and has to be programmed as a spare key (procedure in manual). I don't know if this will work on the Viper unit or not (small 4 pin plug). You might need to contact Viper to get more info. Best I can offer my friend.
