v10 swap wiring help

well I am just about done with my V10 swap. everything is buttoned up and ready to go. I repinned the pcm plug to accomidate for the v10 pcm. i have checked, double checked, checked again that all the wires are in the correct spot. I went to turn the motor over and had nothing. the PATS system is preventing me from starting the truck. Obviously the system needs to be refashed to work with my truck or vise versa. I towed the truck up to the ford dealership (got alot of attention as everyone wanted to see under the hood ) when the tech went to plug his computer in to the DLC (data link connector) or obd2 plug he was not getting any power. This is where im stummped. Most of you have already said in your head "oh its his fuse" yes i checked it. no its not blown. So i went back again and checked all the pinouts just to make sure i didnt mess anything up. the only thing i can think of is the pcm not getting power. so I wired it straight to the battery knowing i now had power. I still had nothing at the plug. so i came home. put it in the driveway and tried not to remeber how bummed i was that i didnt get to drive it home. So as of now im basically lost in a mess of wires with no clue which direction to go in. if anyone can point me to any possible cause of the plug not working. which i now know is infact getting power as the cig lighter works so ITS NOT THE FUSE. I only wish it were that easy lol. like I said if anyone can chime in here and help me out I would greatly appreciate it thanks

I should probly mention the specs on this project. Truck originally came with a 4.6 v8 model year 99. f150. Motor is out of an 03 excursion as far as transmissions go? who cares its a 5spd now

I didn't have to do anything special with power wiring for my V10 swap. Did you check the fuse? J/K

I would have to think it's related to pin swapping...

So there is no 12v to the DLC, not a lack of communication with the PCM? Do you have an OBDII scanner or are you just quoting what the tech told you? Does it crank and not start, or not crank at all? I THINK PATS will allow it to crank, but not start, so if it's not cranking, it may be a different issue. Just shooting in the dark here...

I got it running a little over a month ago. The pcm I was using was fried. Plugged the new one in and she ran like a fine tuned swiss watch. Appreciate the help though
