Smile Adding heated seat mod?

My 04' F-150 truck has the electric driver's seat without heat. I'm interested in the heated seat mod. What would I need to do to change my seat over to being heated?

The easiest route is to purchase an aftermarket heated seat and install it.

I did this for my rear seat in my SuperCrew and the aftermarket ones I got work better than the factor ones.

The other nice thing, generally the aftermarket ones have multiple paths through the heated seat element, which means if there is a problem with them, they don't completely stop working.

The factory ones are a single circuit through the bottom and back ( all in series ) and 1 break anywhere, and they no longer work.

The ones I installed in the G6 and the rear seat of the Screw are the ones from heatyourseat.com the series 2 2 temp Carbon Fiber version.

Dirt easy install, the version I got are serious heaters, you had better be ice cold to use the high setting ( The mrs's comment, not mine, I don't use seat heaters ).

If you look close you can see a bee honey comb pattern for the elements :

If you want to do factory, you are purchasing the elements from Ford, the heated seat modules, and having to replace the HVAC control panel to put in the switches. The version I got are turn on and turn off, the factory ones shut off after the temp is up. If you want that feature, you can shop around, sure there are aftermarket ones that do the same thing.
