1997 f250 ld #5 what components other than the a/c is in that circuit?

so i shorted out the a/c switch and now it keeps poping the #5 fuse. i'm thinking i have in some way weakened a relay or some other component in this circuit. so my electrical system question is, what other components work off of this circuit?? and where can i find a good wiring diagram for this truck that shows all the fuse/relay/wire color codes etc? i am having an electrical nightmare meltdown at this point. btw, have you ever simpily traced the wires on this truck? i went to the pick a part the other day and removed the dash on a 99 f150 simpily tracing the wires with out a wiring gude is an understatement, and simpily removing the dash what a trip that was to the ones that have removed there dash

No relays for Junction Box Fuse #5.

This controls :

1. Auto Trans - DTR ( Digital Transmission Range ) Sensor or Manual Trans - Backup lamp switch.

2. DRL module if equip'd with DRLs

3. Speed Control Servo

4. Function Selector Switch ( for HVAC )

5. Blend Door Actuator.

Which AC switch did you "short out", and what do you mean by "short out"

it was the function selector switch with the red plug with 4 wires, mine are #1blue/red stripe#2purple#3white/brown stripe#4brown/orange stripe. the wires i touched at the plug was blue/red and the white/brown it was a simple pop of the fuse and no burn smell what so ever. it now pops a 30 amp so its a dead short for sure, but where?? the haynes book is useless. i have had fuses pop before but never had this kinda thing take place. at some point the po had cut wires to the blend ****, so i put everything back as it should be. i have unpluged the 3 **** panel switch and the a/c compressor, and it still pops the fuse.

after a few days looking and searching, it looks like it was the bottom dash panel screw. it was somehow shorting it out. as soon as i put the one screw in under the steering wheel, it poped the fuse. not sure why its grounding out there.
