2004 f150 shut off now wont turn over

i was driving home last night looking when my truck just shut off. the low fuel light had just came on and I was looking for a gas station. I tried to turn the truck over to get it started again but when I turn the key fwd all of my dash lights up, the security light keeps blinking and the engine wont even try to turn over. I just replaced the battery about 3 weeks ago. its almost acting like its not reading my key. any help would be great

thanks
Mark

if you turn the key from off to run ( do not start ) the security light on the top of the dash keeps blinking at the same rate as the key out of the ignition or does it blink at a faster rate ?

When you are trying to start the truck, what does "wont even try to turn over." mean ?

no crank - no start or crank - no start ?

When I turn it from off to run it blinks at a faster rate and when I try to start it, it doesn't do anything, the engine won't turn over. When its in the run position you can hear a bunch of sensors clicking under the hood.

I checked my voltage at my battery. It seems a little high at 14.6v. I also put 5 gal of fuel into it and still nothing. The engine wont turn over and i cant even here the fuel pump come on or the starter try and engage.

Is this is a 2004 New Body Style or a 2004 Heritage or Lightning ?

Start by trying another key that is programmed for the truck.

If the THEFT light is fast-flashing, your PATS system is tripped and it will NEVER start until the underlying problem is resolved.
