Alternator Question...

I have a 1992 F-150 Extended cab with a 5.0L V8 engine. How can I determine what amperage alternator I have in my truck? I need to replace it and I don't know what one to get.

Look at the front of the alternator. There are 3 pairs of radial ribs. If there are 4 holes between each pair, it's the standard 95A; if there are 2, it's 130A.

Either way, you can install a 130A if you prefer.
