Check Charging System Question

So the alternator in my 04 died on me as I was driving to work a few days ago. I took the truck in to my local dealer and had them replace it. Not one hour after I had picked the truck up the "CCS" popped up on the info center again. So I take it back in and the second alt is defective. No big deal as I was close to home and the dealership. So a day later I have the "CCS" popping up every couple of minutes.... I call the dealer again and they have me bring it in. They check the battery and the alternator and say everything is fine. I ask why I am still getting the "CCS" and they have no answer. They want to keep the truck for a few days to diagnose the problem on my dime.

So my question to you all is have any of you had this issue and if so what was the fix?

I would say you have mechanics working on your truck who's eyes are too close together. You need someone who ACTUALLY know what they're doing. Are you the one that diagnosed the bad alternator and asked them to change it? Or did they diagnose it as bad and changed it and then that one was bad, all the time the CCS message keeps popping up??? Sounds fishy to me. Time for a real mechanic!

I diagnosed the bad alternator and they "confirmed' it after testing it (waiting for code). One would think that they would kbow their products well enough to track said problem.
