Seatbelt problem

Last week my seat belt warning starting comming on even with the seat belts engaged. If I get in and start the truck the red seatbelt indicator stays lit, even after you plug in the belt. The chime is the standard 25. If I get in the truck and buckle the belt first and then start the truck everything is fine.
I just need any help on what to look for and what to try to fix this. I know I can turn it off but would rather fix it. Maybe a wiring diagram or troubleshooting procedures would be awesome.

When was the last time you had the battery tested ?

If the battery load tests OK, something that strange sounds like an issue with the RCM itself, which without the correct diagnostic tools, is not something you can do on your own.
