Remote car starter question

I just baught this 03 supercrew and it had a ford factory installed car starter. It was working fine before, but now I have to press the lock button on the remote before I start it. Would anyone know how to fix this?

Also sometimes when I want to start the truck with the key, the engine doesn't turn over, but when you start it with the remote it will start.

Thanks!

If you read the manual for the Silver & Gold RMST, the procedure to start the truck is lock then blue key button. Not too sure how you were getting it to start other wise.

When you have the no start, what do you mean by "doesn't turn over" no crank - no start or crank - no start ?

I wasn't to sure if that was normal or not, thanks!

The issue for starting it it the key is that sometimes it won't start when I turn the key but everything else is working. It's like it's not wanting to send power to the starter. To start it I have to use the remote, and it starts right away. It does this only intermitenly.

The no crank no start, that sounds like an ignition switch issue, where the key attaches to it.

If the RMST works, this is after the switch / key combo.

Could be a mechanical issue
