Re-seating fuses?

I have an 02 Blackwood. The factory power bed cover quit working, the 15amp mini fuse in the fuse box under the hood was not blown, but taking it out and putting it back in made it work for a few days, then I'd have to re-seat it again. I've re-seated this fuse this about 6 times, and now it will not work at all. I've Tried new fuses, wiggleing, and contact cleaner.

Do I have a problem in the fuse box, or somewhere else?

Is this BJB fuse #9 ?

If so, when you have the issue with the power bed cover, do the fog lamps still work ?
This is a common fuse for both.

If the fog lamps still work, the issue is after the fuse.

If the fog lamps do not work, the issue could be a stretched out fuse holder. You could use a set of small screw drivers and try to bend the female pins back together, to hold the fuse better.

Yes, this is the fuse. Manual shows #9, fog lamps/power tonneau.

Never any issues with fog lights. I use them regularly and just double checked them.

What comes after the fuse?

There is a thread on this in the Blackwood/Mark LT forum, it don't look pretty.

Thanks for your help.

Next logical step that I see, is to check if the module is getting power.

Where is the module at? I hope it's not in the bed behind those SS panels.

There is a 50 amp maxi fuse for the power tonneau in the fuse box under the hood, it looks clean and tight and not blown.

You replied to the thread in the blackwood forum that showed where it was at.

That is part of checking, make sure the module has power from the switch and from the fuse.

I took a closer look at the pics in the blackwood thread. I see now. I was hoping that custom job was in a custom location. I missed the pic of the old module.
Just getting to it is going to be a chore....I need to study on it some before I start ripping the truck up.

Just called the ford dealer. That module costs 485.00$... I may hire a pro if I have any doubts on the testing of it. I don't mind paying a little to make sure it's bad.

Thanks for your help.
