TV Tuner wiring question
TV Tuner wiring question
I am sure this is a stupid question, I have done a search and not really come up with a definite answer.
I am installing an after market digital tv tuner to my after market head unit. I am removing the factory sirius box. I need 12 volts to power the TV tuner. Could I just take the existing factory power supply from the sirius and cut the wires, maybe see a red and black wire and splice in and power the tuner from here instead of installing a fuse splitter or whatwever it is called, at the fuse panel.
thank you in advance.

Since the new digital system doesn't work while the receiving antenna is moving, you can be pretty sure he won't be unless he 1) gets a new ATSC M/H receiver, and 2) lives in a city where the ATSC M/H systems have already been turned on.
I am actually going to attach the parking brake wire from the head unit to a ground, it will enable my dvd and I was thinking this could be on during movement...I won't be watching, but passengers could...The antenna on this unit is interior, correct? I imagined it like the boxes they gave people that didn't have cable when out TVs went all digital.
