Electric Window

I am having a problem with the pass window on my 98 XLT F-150. The switch on the driver's do will not operate the window. The switch on the pass door allows window to go down but not up. Had new motor installed 2 months ago and worked fine. Checked wire for continuity from driver door to pass door and was ok. Checked continuity from black (common) terminal to each terminal on driver door switches. Had continuity until pressed button. Checked ground behind kick panel and is tight. Motor works fine from external power source. Most people told me that the master switch needs to be replaced but not sure. Not sure what to do next. krleas@yahoo.com

Checked wire or wires ?

There are 2 wires from the driver's side door switch to the passenger switch.

From the sounds of it, the Tan w/ Light blue stripe wire is damaged, or the switch contacts are carboned up.

Here is the diagram for the driver's side door switch to the passenger to the motor

If the down on the passenger side works, I would have expected the up on the driver's side switch to work.

Start with a correct functional test of the driver's side switch:

Is it easy to get to the contacts in the switch?
