Hey there! My rear window motor went out and the window fell... I know its a common problem but for some reason i cant seem to find the replacement motor and regulator.??? Went to autozone and a few other places but when they look up the window motor it only shows the front windows. Nobody can figure out why it doesnt even list the rear motors? I looked them up in the Doorman parts book but it too also only lists the front window motors.

I was wondering if maybe the front motors are the same as the rear??? Does anybody know if the front fits for the rear super crew window? I need to pick up the motor tommorrow and cant figure out what the deal is?


Come on guys.......? Help me out.

 

Check the part numbers on both motors and see if they are the same? Or, check the part numbers on google and see what comes up.

EDIT: If you check on tascaparts.com, they have parts for a front and rear window motor. Seems the left motor is cheaper than the right one for the rear, while the right is cheaper for the front.

So I fixed the motor for the window. And I got a decent deal I guess. But the Ford dealer is being a bunch of ^^sholes! They won't cross reference numbers for you anymore. And they also won't give you a part number unless you buy the item! That's crooked! Theta are making it impossible to buy parts anywhere else but them! It's wrong. Not to mention that it was nearly double the price of everyone else, and they met the other prices I found! So they didn't make anymore than the other guys. Thet are just bing difficult. I'm slowly loosing my faith in Ford. They are throwing away their good reputation. They are acting like a cheap old politician!

 

Buy a Dodge - I mean Tata, or whoever owns them now. Or a Toyota if you liked the movie Christine. Or a GM if you want to pay more taxes to keep them in business.

 

I know I know I know...... Theres nothing like a Ford! Dont get me wrong, I doubt i could buy anything else. But i with the dealers would be more helpful.

 

If they won't help you, use Google. Everyone is trying to stay in business, and your dealer seems to be cutting off his nose to spite his face. Not all of them are like that.
