Exclamation Reverse lights and sensers not working

Ok so the other day leaving school I got rear ended by an SUV and fortunately for me, I had my trailer hit attached and the only damage that occured, was to her front bumper; not a scratch on my truck except for the hitch. Anyways, lately I've noticed that my reverse sensers on my rear bumper aren't working when backing up, and today I noticed that my reverse lights arent working either, but my brake lights work fine. So im wondering what was popped loose in the accident that made my reverse lights and sensers not work? And if its nothing major, is it a DIY thing, b/c i dont need to be spending $400 at the dealership fixing something I couldve done myself, for $50. Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. I have an 04 Lariat 4x4 Supercrew

Start by checking the fuse for the reverse lamps.

The 2005 EVTM shows this as Fuse #14, as does the 2006. Consult your owners manual to confirm the fuse location ( they should be the same 04-08, but the 04 & 05 had some 1 off changes for both MY, as well as the 04 had some changes mid MY ).

The other thing to check is when in reverse ( follow the general safety rules parking brake, chock the wheels, don't have the truck running, etc; the obvious things ) is the 7 pin trailer tow adapter, to see if the reverse circuit works. If it does, the fuse should be good and your thoughts on checking farther back are correct. If not, points to the fuse or the DTR ( Digital Transmission Range ) Sensor.
