KC Light installation

I currently have a xlt without the fog lights and am attempting to add KC daylighters to a bull bar. Is it possible to swap my head lamp switch with one that has the fog lamp feature and run the KC lights to the actual Ford switch rather than adding the toggle switch supplied by KC? I will probably add the 100Watt or 130Watt system if that helps.

I did this to my '99 to switch the lights I added behind the grill (used the switch to trigger a relay which switches the lights). I'm guessing it's also possible on your year. My XL had the wiring for fog lights from the switch to the firewall, so I tapped into the fog light wires at the switch, installed a factory fog light/head light switch, and I was good to go ...

Yes, this is an easy swap to use the switch to control an external relay ( wiring is missing in other threads trying to add the factory fog lamps ).

The Ford fog lamp switch on pin #9 is the output of the fog lamp switch, when pulled out. This is powered by the switch, when in the park position.

The color code ( you might already have the wiring installed to the CJB ) is White w/ black stripe wire.

This is used to power the coil on the relay, other wise install the relay as the kit directions show.
