they worked fine before the weekend and now they only work when they are turned to high..there is no delay to slow them down...they only thing i have done lately is change my plug wires the friday before the weekend...is there something that i might have leaned on or unplugged by accident..check the 30amp fuse under that dash and the one under the hood and both were good..not sure what to think.
any ideas??

could be a problem that has developed with either the switch or the wiper motor. contacts inside the switch could have worn down and not making contact anymore or the functions inside the motor itself are going bad. need to do some testing with a wiring diagram and a test light. if i recall there are a sequence of steps to follow in fords with wiper diagnostics to determine which is which.
I would start with testing the MFS ( multiFunction Switch )

This thread talks about the ghost wipes that happen, but had a section on the MFS end cap, and how corrosion built up in the end of the switch.

where do i find the the harness to check these wires...i also remembered that i did a heater core about a month ago and not sure if the wipers were working after that. so it is possible that something is unplugged....but where do i start looking
I am having somewhat of a similar problem, when I set my wipers to delay they will come on but stop mid way up and come on and off when they see fit to. I have already taken the wiper control apart before and cleaned the contacts and that seemed to work for a time or two of using the wipers, but now it is doing the same thing.
Could be time to replace the MFS if cleaning only works for a short amount of time.
You can confirm this by removing and testing the MFS with the chart above.

That is the chart from Ford for a Ford switch. If it does not match, might want to try again with another switch, if you are sure of the testing procedure.
well i have somewhat solved the problem...the wipers work fine as long as the truck in not running...just turn the key to the run position and they work 100%..but once the truck is started then they only work on high...i am stumped
